Entrepreneurial Leadership Shaping the Future of Secure Remote Access

BifrostConnect was founded by practitioners with deep, hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, security and operational environments. After repeatedly encountering the limitations of traditional remote access tools, the founders set out to solve the problems existing technologies were never designed to handle. The result is a hardware-based approach built for real-world conditions. It enables secure, controlled access even when systems are offline, segmented, air gapped or under operational pressure, without exposing critical infrastructure to unnecessary risk.

The executive team unites experienced entrepreneurs, technologists and cybersecurity leaders with a shared mission to redefine secure remote access for critical infrastructure. The team brings together decades of combined experience across IT, OT, cybersecurity, engineering, product strategy and commercial leadership, anchored in an entrepreneurial mindset and a commitment to solving real world operational problems.

I looked around but could not find the right tool for the job. So, I decided to build it. This simple idea became the foundation of our company after Benjamin Stanfeld encountered a problem as old as the IT industry itself – more than 15% of IT issues still require physical access. Ready to kick start a new era of remote support, we introduce our latest invention BifrostConnect – A game changing “Plug and Play” solution that establish hassle-free remote access to any type of device.

Benjamin Stanfeld

Chief Innovation Officer, Inventor and Co-Founder

Benjamin Stanfeld has been surrounded by computers since early childhood. He spent countless hours exploring how systems worked, often by taking them apart and putting them back together again. At the age of thirteen, he began offering IT support to people in his local area, advertising his services with small posters in the local shopping mall.

In 2006 he secured his first professional IT job as an autodidact. Since then, Benjamin has worked across small, medium and large enterprises with IT support, IT infrastructure setup, IT security and general IT maintenance. His experience spans the full spectrum of hands-on operational challenges faced by real companies in real environments.

The idea for the BifrostConnect unit emerged in 2016 during a work trip from Denmark to Sweden. Benjamin had been flown in to fix an issue that took five minutes to resolve, yet could not be handled remotely because the right tool simply did not exist. At the time, many remote access solutions were available, but they were often too expensive, too complex or too unreliable, and many required an IT degree just to operate. Non-technical users could not easily grant secure access to remote experts.

Benjamin set out to change this. His vision was to create a hardware-based remote access solution that was secure, easy to use and affordable even for small businesses. A solution where non-technical personnel could safely provide experienced IT professionals with access to almost any system, in almost any situation, without exposing equipment to unnecessary risk. The Bifrost unit became the bridge between two worlds: the remote expert and the user on site in need of help.

Benjamin founded BifrostConnect in 2018 together with co-founder Mikkel Skovgaard, with Anders Lavesen as the first investor.

Today he continue to drive BifrostConnect’s technical innovation, ensuring that the platform continues to evolve through practical insight, operational reliability and a relentless focus on building solutions that work where others fail.
